So Far

I am on a roll with the comic. I have managed to keep it updated weekly since my return from hiatus. This is due to fall setting in and winter approaching. My household duties are lessening, and I have more time to focus on the website. I will forewarn that there might be a few hiccups in the future. I am working on a few other creative projects, and that has taken time away from working on the comic. One of them is developing a YouTube Channel. Just to get my feet wet, and work with things I am doing a few Skyrim tutorial videos. Yeah, there are plenty out there, but the few I am doing, the information is non-existent or poorly done. Again, the whole reason I am doing the YouTube thing is to learn something. As a graphic designer having a little bit more knowledge than the other person does help. I am not going to get deep into video editing, but learning how to deal with YouTube is an asset.
One of the other major projects revolving around the website is due to an event that happened a few months ago. Go Daddy is the host, and I was having site load issues. There was a few problems on their end, that they resolved, but it did force me to look at some issues on my end. The pages of a standard comic book style, which was the original format of this web comic, tend to generate very large file sizes. Even with today’s high speed internet, file size still counts. So I will be re-saving the old pages to reduce the file size, and maintain best quality. That process has to be done manually, because making a file smaller reduces resolution, which can result in blurring or muddying of the art. In order to achieve the best quality, I have to start from the original file. Using the current reduced or saved files would deteriorate the quality if I simply reduced their file size.
The website is also redone, if you have noticed the header area looks brighter, better artwork, different layout. The comic area has not changed, neither has the blog area. Changing the header was actually more mind boggling than anticipated. With CSS, HTML and PHP there is always browser issues to fix before you go live. I managed to fix any obvious issues, now I simply wait for the none obvious issues to happen.

Entourage Movie
October 6th, 2015 by Proprietor
Posted back in March about Entourage the HBO series. I received the Blu-Ray of the movie yesterday, so I watched it last night. It was good. Sort of started right after the television show, though the movie had a tendency to be a bit blurred with it’s time frame. It was a longer episode of the show, but still just as enjoyable. Loaded with a bunch of in jokes, and references an Entourage fan would understand, but still vague enough for a non-Entourage fan. Because it was a movie, the producers went for more graphic sex scenes, and it wasn’t Vincent in any of them. Women were smoking hot.
Posting When I Can
October 4th, 2015 by Proprietor
When I took my hiatus, it was to look at the design, and direction of my web comic. I feel I have succeeded. The stories I wrote are stronger, and the artwork is better. Unfortunately things are taking longer than I wanted or hoped.
I had only intended to take a month off. Using techniques I had worked on with assembling a comic page, and other ways to make work more efficient, I had hoped to get things going. Life has different plans. So, rather than wait until I have enough pages for a continued reliable posting, I thought about simply posting when I can. It is not really professional, but my web comic is still in the hobby stage, and sadly I have to treat it as such.
So, I am beginning the next storyline “Networking”.
I hate to say please keep coming back to the website to see if I did post anything, but that is the way things are for now. I have a choice, take the site down completely, and then relaunch at a date when I have more work to post, then end up in the vicious cycle again or I can try and push through.
